Sponsored by the Lenoir Hospital Foundation. This BP machine is scheduled monthly in interested churches who would like to offer their congregation a free screening.
High blood pressure, the silent killer, often goes undetected. A blood pressure screening can be the first time that one learns that their blood pressure is too high.

FAQs
Who can use the traveling BP machine?
Churches in the Lenoir, Greene and Jones County areas can have the BP machine for a one month period.
Is there a fee?
No- the Lenoir Memorial Foundation covers the rental expense each year for the machine.
How does my church get on the list/calendar?
Please call 252-522-7014 and our staff will be happy to discuss the machine use for your location. Please note, that we are often not able to have the machine at your church for more than one month and the calendar fills up each year.
What are the requirements for installing the machine?
It requires electricity and an indoor location. Our staff brings the machine to your location and picks it back up.
Are the blood pressure measurements accurate?
This machine provides a screening blood pressure on a standard arm size. The blood pressure reading does not constitute a diagnosis but gives the participant the ability to collect a trend of blood pressures in order to share the information with their healthcare provider. The machine is calibrated by the rental company on a regular basis.
What are the risks associated with high blood pressure?
If your blood pressure is not well controlled, you have an increased risk of:
- Dementia
- Eye problems (retinopathy)
- Erectile dysfunction
- Heart attack
- Heart failure
- Kidney (renal) disease
- Stroke
With our Traveling Free Blood Pressure Machine we can come to you for a blood pressure screening and provide information for high blood pressure.
