The Minges Mile Walk Club is one of the great benefits when you join Minges Wellness Center and is offered at no extra cost to members. Our goal is to help our members become chronic exercisers by making it exciting and fun.
Our walk club is a great way to increase walking and our members take pride in achieving mileage goals. The Mile Walk Club features incremental mileage goals with prizes and recognition at intervals up to 3000 miles! You can work to your goal at your own pace or with the encouragement of a personal trainer.
To participate you must be a member of the Minges Wellness Center.
Mile Club Markers:
100th | 250th | 500th | 750th | 1000th
Each time your reach a mile club marker your name will be recorded on the MMWC wall board and you will receive a free MMWC t-shirt at each mile mark achieved. Walk more miles receive more prizes! Inform any Minges Wellness Center Staff when you reach a mile marker.
Registration is not required and you are welcomed to walk at your own progress level. Your miles should be logged in the MMWC notebook located at the check-in counter. Blank log sheets available in the notebook.
Acceptable activities to log your miles are:
– walking laps on the indoor track
– walking on the treadmill
– walking to the MWC walk videos
At the Minges Wellness Center we celebrate every success whether it is miles walked, classes attended, or pounds lost. We applaud your efforts and revel in your accomplishments. Come celebrate with us!
