Lung Cancer Screening

You may qualify for a lung cancer screening if you have a history of heavy smoking currently or have quit within the past 15 years, and are between 55 and 77 years old currently with no symptoms of lung cancer.

Evidence suggests that this screening program would detect approximately one half of lung cancer cases at an early stage, at which surgery with curative intent is an option.

If you feel you qualify for a lung cancer screening ask your physician if it is the right thing for you. Physician referral is Required.
